Dear Prospective Student: 

Thank you for your interest in Eastburn Institute of Hypnosis. We’d like to take a moment and introduce ourselves to you. We are Drake and Lynsi Eastburn, the creators and instructors of the Eastburn Institute of Hypnosis. Our bios will tell you about our individual training and experience, but we’d like to tell you a little bit about how the Institute came to be. 

Several years ago, we made a decision to open our school as a result of being inundated by requests for a quality training taught by full time hypnotherapists who actually use hypnosis successfully in the field.  We decided then that if we were going to teach, we were going to make a commitment to create the best training possible. This led to our decision to become a National Guild of Hypnotists school, as the Guild is the only organization requiring a core curriculum, and we felt that it was important that all hypnosis basics be included in trainings taught to students. The Guild also offers many benefits to NGH Certified Hypnotherapists, including professional publications, a referral service, and monthly chapter meetings which you can attend for continuing education, and an extended support network and learning forum. 

Prospective students find the Eastburn Institute of Hypnosis training particularly attractive because of the flexibility it offers and the potential it affords. Many of our students already have other licenses which make the Transformational Hypnotherapy Certification training exactly what they need to thoroughly learn hypnosis as a beneficial adjunct to their other skills. Others desire more extensive training, which they acquire by completing the Transformational Hypnotherapy Certification program, and selecting the advanced programs suited to their needs.  

All of our courses are designed with the professional in mind. Our trainings are intensive and to the point, with a balance of practice and theory for a learning style that enhances absorption of the skills necessary to truly master the art and science of hypnosis. With a strong focus on thorough training in the hypnotic process, the Transformational Hypnotherapy Certification program will enable you to achieve a proficiency in hypnosis that is not offered—and often not even considered necessary—elsewhere.  Upon graduation from our Transformational Hypnotherapy Certification accelerated learning program, you are ready and able to take the steps to open your doors  in private practice and start a new career—part time or full time—with confidence and skill.

Hypnosis is becoming widely accepted as a valuable component in more traditional modalities, as well as being acknowledged by the mainstream as the best choice for addressing certain issues; the field is virtually untapped. There are unlimited opportunities for skilled hypnotherapists and the demand for their services continues to grow.  

Busy trailblazing the field, we have both created original trainings which we teach internationally. Over the past three decades, Drake has perfected the art of hypnosis for smoking cessation, and has been teaching his methods to hypnotherapists through his unique program, Puffed Enuff!™ for many years.  Lynsi has created the one-of-a-kind Certified 3Keys® HypnoFertility Therapist program which is the subject of increasing media attention. We’ll show you how to create your niche and become as successful as you like. We offer training drawn from our own experience. We know it works, because we’ve done it ourselves for decades. Whether you are looking for self-discovery, to learn hypnosis to enhance another specialty, or you are a layperson looking to start a successful new career, we have the training to meet your needs.

Transformational Hypnotherapy Certification Course 

At Eastburn Institute of Hypnosis, we are dedicated to providing top quality education. Our programs are designed to train students, well and thoroughly, to function as hypnotherapists, equipped to offer their clients innovative solutions to all issues and concerns, be these mental, emotional, physical or spiritual. Beginning with a strong foundation in hypnotic history and theory, we take our students through the process of inducing hypnosis using a variety of techniques from gentle relaxations to instant inductions. We explore the art of composing suggestions tailored to meet each client’s individual needs, and focus strongly on the cultivation of an ability to create intuitive suggestion material “in the moment,” as it is required in the course of therapy. Through demonstrations followed by interactive practice among the student therapists, under the observation of the teaching staff, we create the ability to elicit therapeutic and cathartic response without the danger of “leading” clients. Building rapport, interviewing techniques, pain management, anesthesia, deepening techniques and many other topics are covered in depth, as well as related aspects of hypnotherapy practice, such as jurisprudence and marketing. Above all, we emphasize Quantum Model Learning, grounded in our firm conviction that the power of the human mind is unequaled and unlimited.

What we cover in the training:

 

  • What Is Hypnosis (An Introduction): A complete technical and understandable explanation of hypnosis. Concepts of primary and secondary suggestibility are introduced. 
  • History of Hypnosis: Background information on the history of hypnosis, including the discoveries/influences of James Braid, the Marquis du Pursuyger, Mesmer, etc. 
  • Preliminary Suggestibility Tests: The purpose and types (authoritarian and permissive) are discussed and demonstrated. You’ll practice conducting each test as well as learn how to achieve rapport with a client. 
  • Recognition and Classification of Subjects: An in-depth discussion of the qualification of clients, including common fallacies we encounter, how to effectively work with individuals and groups, and how to choose the appropriate technique each time. 
  • How to Hypnotize: Several classic hypnotic induction procedures and styles are taught, along with the basic elements necessary to ensure successful inductions every time. Learn how to hypnotize with the touch of a finger. 
  • Methods of Emerging: Methods of awakening and emergence from trance are demonstrated and practiced. 
  • Hypnotic Depth Testing: Be successful every time with effective trance management. You will be introduced to the two general divisions (mnesic and amnesic) and the six depth stages of hypnosis. The criteria for judging hypnotic depth and suggested sequence of tests to judge depth are discussed and illustrated and techniques used to deepen the hypnotic state are experienced. 
  • Suggestion Management: You will learn the rationale for using self-hypnosis and how it can positively and powerfully influence all phases of your life. In addition, you’ll be introduced to the world of “suggestion” and learn essential criteria for formulating effective suggestions. 
  • Hypnotic Miscellany: Mechanical and electronic instruments, posthypnotic suggestion, hypermnesia phenomena, sensory hyper aesthesia. Topics such as negative word traps and unethical posthypnotic suggestions are discussed. An introduction to anesthesia management. 
  • Advanced Induction Techniques: Complete training in several rapid inductions that you’ll use regularly with confidence and ex pertise. The success of rapid inductions is completely mastered through demonstrations and practice. You’ll be equipped with suf ficient methods and techniques to rapidly induce trance in even the most difficult subject. You’ll learn to utilize Double Binds, an ingenious method to obtain the results your client desires, and the effective use of kinesthetic disorientation inductions. 
  • Imagery and Hypnosis: Through case studies, role-play activities and illustrations, the practical applications of using  imagery in conjunction with proven ego-strengthening techniques are explored and practiced.  Assessment, Goal Setting, and Reinforcement: This lesson introduces, through interactive discussions and application exercises.
  • Use of Tasking: How to use tasking as a method of reinforcement of suggestions and as a powerful tool for difficult  subjects. The well-trained hypnotherapist never fails. You’ll learn the methods of tasking to produce successful results  with every client session. 
  • Counselling Skills: How to do a pre-induction interview, setting realistic goals, the hypnotherapeutic role, clients you  can work with.  
  • NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming): Methodology including the absolutely-must-know anchor/trigger process - seamlessly integrated into hypnotherapeutic application for immediate effect. How to create anchors and triggers and  the essential use of anchors and triggers with clients. You’ll learn how positive and negative triggers can best be utilized  for benefit or neutralization to resolve problems and how triggers can be incorporated and intensified with the senses.  You’ll learn the hows and whys of NLP and its hypnotherapeutic connection.
